Description of Problem or Issue

Instant Quote Professional version 8 will not install. It says I have Office 2010 64-Bit and must have 32-bit office to install.

Applies To: Instant Quote Professional

Instant Quote Professional Version 8 was created using MS Access 2010 32 Bit as the platform. Starting with Office 2010, Microsoft no longer allowed 32 bit and 64 bit installations of MS Access to reside on the same machine. Unfortunately, many PC builders would automatically choose the 64-bit option when loading software, even though this is unnecessary for most users and caused many compatibility issues.

Per Microsoft's article on 32-bit versus 64-bit Office 2010, they recommend to only install 64-bit office if you use very large Excel sheets (> several GB's).

In order to be able to install Instant Quote Professional version 8, you must uninstall Office 2010 64-Bit, then re-install Office 2010 and choose the 32-bit option during install (this is called downgrading office 2010 to 32-bit). Ensure you have the original Office 2010 install disc or 32-bit download installation files before uninstalling 64-bit.
